Michael Young who has created a variety of designs and installations with environment-friendly elements has added environment-friendly factors to the new designs as well. ‘EOps Noise-zero i+Eco Edition’ has uses bio plastics made of innovative corn starch for microphone housing with Earbud. Michael Young said, “I found out that I could establish the acoustic chamber of Earbud and obtain natural middle-range tone using the corn starch-based bio plastics.”

My design philosophy is nature and tradition. I spent my childhood in a mountainous district so I learned to appreciate the beauty of nature. I feel the importance of design morals while I study. I think we need to design the products focusing on nature not just on people. For Korean tradition, I want to be a designer who can revive the historical beauty. Products can be globalized when they contain the country's traditional beauty in them. I am nothing but a student now, but I want to design the very Korean products in the future.

1983, born in Seoul, South Korea. 1999, wore the worst and most expensive violet suit of my life to submit a drop out permission to my teacher. she said something in German. 2000, talked to an English vegetarian grandpa in India eating heart shape steak, and got my name, hasisi. got a phone call from Korea that I won a ‘happy ssamnet prize’ at ssamzie music video festival but I didn’t go back to Seoul. 2001, put black eyed susan wallpaper on the windows. 2002, a bunch of oranges, figured out chestnut trees smell like semen. 2003, a huge mistake of my life, started to go out with Robb who gave me a bunch of oranges in 2002. 2004, yelled at my crew in a <mum’s Vaseline> set studio to bring the fucking zoom lens right now. got the best director prize at the 1st Korea International Youth Film Festival though… 2005, cried. saw a couple having sex in my toilet, took pics then my head was smashed by ex-crazy lover’s hand. went to the hospital, paid with my card, worried about him. 2006, Jack, no more mistakes. 2007, lost something big, fuck mid twenty crisis. 2008, London karma fuck that too. one morning, wondering about how many same suits Kim Jeong Il has.

I applied for this to be closer to Core77 and the international internship program. It seems like this would be the best opportunity to show my works on the web site and get feedbacks. Also, it would be a great opportunity to advertise my school. I was a babe in the woods for I was busy making myself known only in my school. However, I could look at the wider part of the world with this opportunity. I will try my best to overcome my weaknesses and get a wider view of seeing things by experiencing different cultures. I had some difficulties before entering the university, but those hardships made me stronger. I will try harder to be successful based on the mistakes I have made before I got into the field of design.

I believe that a person with no desire is more pathetic than the one without any talent. I am very passionate about the things I like. I always tried hard to achieve what I want to do, and was able to earn the things at the end. I also did my best to be the best in everything. This lets me humble enough to look back on myself and not to compromise with the situation. I have majored in pottery but have interests in other fields in design too. Thus I studied design tools like Illustrator, Photoshop and Rhino. I am also comfortable using camera since I took classes in my first year and kept on practicing by myself. I have used these skills on clothes design, catalogues and name cards. In addition to these works, I could use my skills on my pottery works and exhibitions preparation.

My name is Heon min Lee, and I am 28 years old. I applied to this internship program because to do so was my dream. I always wanted to work in a global market rather than in a domestic one. The first reason why I want to work abroad is that I am much influenced by the American culture since I was young. The second reason is because I want to work in New York City. Sometimes a particular place can give a person reasons to dream, like New York has done to me. I have been to New York once, and I can feel that the city was full of cheerful spirits and the passion of the art. I might have to go to a place other than New York, but that will be a great experience which will eventually bring me to New York. If I ever get this opportunity, I will be the representative of Korea as if I am going on the Olympic and do my best.

In 2001, our Chohung Bank commercial won several international advertising awards and the national flag ad received the grand prize at the Public Service Advertisement Award. In 2002, Aniframe was certified as a venture company thanks to our digital animation technology involving traditional ink painting. Since the collaboration on animation with DUCK Studios in the U.S. in 2003, we have been earning recognition in American and other overseas advertising markets. In 2007, the world’s first Full Digital Circle Visio 3D film was unveiled at the exhibition house for the Paju Unjeong development. Moreover, the Korea Tourism Organization promotional video was the first Korean winner of the grand prize at the 2008 New York Festivals. In all, we produced around 350 films.
